Total: acquires company Vents d'Oc
(CercleFinance.com) - Total today announces the acquisition of Vents d'Oc, thereby strengthening its position in renewable energies in France.
Vents d'Oc develops over 200 megawatts of renewable energy projects, mainly wind turbines. This acquisition is being made via Quadran, Total's renewable electricity generation subsidiary in France, which now has a portfolio of over 830 MW in both solar, wind and hydroelectric facilities.
This acquisition is part of the group's growth strategy for the entire low-carbon electricity value chain in France, from natural gas and renewable generation to sales via Total Direct Energie, Philippe Sauquet, head of Total's Gas, Renewables & Power business said.
