Carrefour: acquires Potager City
(CercleFinance.com) - French food retail giant Carrefour has announced the acquisition of the start-up Potager City, a leader in the delivery, after online registration, of ultra-fresh and seasonal fruit and vegetables.
Potager City offers different formulae of fruit and vegetables in boxes, which are delivered via collection points or directly to businesses. The startup has built up a network of over 750 partners of local producers, market gardeners and arborists.
The start-up, which is based in Lyon, employs 110 people and delivers to 350 cities in France via seven logistics bases and a network of over 3,300 collection points.
