Carrefour: Invest Securities remains a buyer; ups target.
(CercleFinance.com) - Invest Securities has reiterated its "buy" rating on Carrefour and has nudged up its target price from 27.
5 euros to 28 euros, believing that the group "seems to be in a better position ahead of interim results than previously expected."
The broker's analysts consider that the French retail giant remains the expiatory victim of a lackluster sector in which every new opponent hits it first, "simply because it remains a much more visible leader than others".
"The Carmila IPO, followed by that of Atacadao, offer a vibrant testimony, reinforcing Carrefour's strike force (IPO mainly through capital increases amounting to about 1.5 billion euros)," the analyst added.
