Air Liquide: contract with Shell in the Philippines

(CercleFinance.com) - Air Liquide said this morning that its Philippine subsidiary has won a long-term contract for the supply of hydrogen to the Tabangao refinery, which is owned by the oil giant Shell in Batangas.

The terms of the deal were not specified.

Under the contract, the French industrial and medical gas group will invest 30 million euros to build a hydrogen production unit on the refinery site.

"The HMU, owned and operated by Air Liquide, will be fitted with a CO2 recovery unit that mitigates direct carbon emission levels by capturing and liquifying the CO2 for other uses," the group added.
