Air Liquide: commits to the Northern Lights project
(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday evening Air Liquide announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Equinor and its partners (Shell and Total) to collaborate on the Northern Lights project, a Co2 capture and storage project.
This project concerns the development of offshore CO2 storage on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and could become the first storage site in the world to receive CO2 from industrial sources in several European countries, Air Liquide said.
Under the memorandum of understanding, partners will explore the possibility of cooperating in the development of carbon capture and storage.
