Safran: takes stake in OXIS Energy
(CercleFinance.com) - Safran announces that it has taken a stake in OXIS Energy, a leader in Lithium-sulfur components for high energy density batteries, through its subsidiary Safran Corporate Ventures, which is dedicated to investments in young technology companies.
Safran Corporate Ventures is therefore taking part in a seven million pound fundraiser alongside Aerotec and new investors, including Arkema. The capital will be used to market and automate the mass production process of rechargeable batteries.
Alongside this, OXIS has signed two joint development agreements with its partners, the first to work on high-density battery cells for the aerospace industry and the second with the chemist Arkema.
