Safran: signs a new agreement with Toray
(CercleFinance.com) - Safran and Toray have announced signing an agreement for the supply of high-performance carbon fiber composite materials.
This agreement will support growth of the aerospace market and will raise the expected performance of new generations of engines.
Thierry Viguier, Vice-President Materials Purchasing at Safran, said that following the long-term agreement signed a year ago, this new agreement is the culmination of the second stage of our collaboration, which will enable us to take full advantage of the Toray's ability to develop high-performance composite materials. Signing this agreement marks a step towards a broader product portfolio.
According to Yasuo Suga, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Toray's Torayca & Composite Division, "Clearly focused on innovation and value-added solutions, our companies' strategies are perfectly aligned and we are confident that our collaboration will continue its development in the future.
