TF1: subsidiary Newen takes over Mensen in Belgium
(CercleFinance.com) - Newen, a subsidiary of the TF1 group, announces the acquisition of a 60% majority stake in De Mensen, a major player in audiovisual production in Belgium in both fiction and streaming.
As a leader in Flanders with recurring programms, which is present in French-speaking Belgium through its subsidiary "les gens", De Mensen produces platforms such as Netflix for public and private channels in Belgium, and many international players.
Raf Uten and Maurits Lemmens, the founders and main directors of De Mensen, will retain a minority stake. A high level of synergies in production, format exchanges and distribution will be implemented between both groups.
