Hermès: H1 sales growth reaches 15%
(CercleFinance.com) - Hermès International has reported H1 2019 sales of 3,284 million euros, up 12% at constant exchange rates and 15% at current exchange rates.
Growth at the group's stores (+13% at constant exchange rates).
This momentum is based on solid growth at all businesses, with a remarkable performance of the clothing and accessories business (+15%), driven by the success of women's and men's ready-to-wear collections, as well as fashion accessories and shoes.
At the end of June, underlying operating profitability should be slightly lower than the in H1 2018 (34.5%); as the leverage effect generated by the group's strong sales growth should partially offset the unfavourable impact of foreign exchange hedges.
