Atos: CFIUS approves acquisition of Syntel
(CercleFinance.com) - Atos announces that it has been informed that the the Committee for Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) has completed its review of its proposed acquisition of Syntel and that there are no unsolved national security issues concerning the operation.
Approval from the CFIUS was the last regulatory authorisation pending before the transaction could be completed. Approvals from competition authorities have already been obtained in the US, Austria, Serbia and India.
This acquisition remains subject to approval by Syntel shareholders at the extraordinary meeting scheduled for 1 October. It should then be completed early in the fourth quarter of 2018.
