Nexans: contract for wind project in Scotland
(CercleFinance.com) - Nexans announces that it has been designated by SSE as the preferred supplier for the design, manufacture and installation of the onshore and offshore export cables for Phase 1 of the Seagreen Offshore Wind Project.
Currently being completed off the coast of Angus, Phase 1 includes the Seagreen Alpha and Bravo parks. Offering a combined capacity of 1.075MW, they will be part of the largest wind farm in Scotland when production begins in 2024.
As part of this project, Nexans will manufacture and install the three offshore export cables (65 km) and three onshore export cables (20 km). The financial terms of the contract were not specified.
