Nexans: signs E35m contract in the UK
(CercleFinance.com) - Nexans announces the signing of a 35 million euro contract for the supply of cables with Morgan Sindall Infrastructure for the Dorset VIP (Visual Impact Provision) project.
The project aims to reduce the visual impact of an existing section of 8.8 km of 400 kV overhead conductors by replacing them with underground cabling, thereby enabling 22 pylons to be removed.
It also includes the construction of two new ends that are necessary to connect the new underground cables to the remaining overhead conductors.
The project's construction works are scheduled to begin in spring 2019 are a scheduled to last three years.
