Altran: participates in Total's Metis project
(CercleFinance.com) - Altran announces its participation in the Multiphysics Exploration Technology Integrated System (METIS) project, which Total launched in 2014 as part of the “Earth Imaging” research program of its Exploration & Production division.
By 2021 METIS plans an industrial-scale pilot in Papua New Guinea during a large-scale seismic acquisition campaign in which tens of thousands of DARTs will be deployed with over 25 drones.
Downfall Air Receiver Technology (DARTs) are designed to obtain high-quality images of the subsurface in real time, while reducing costs and risks. At the end of its development, METIS will be able to operate in different environments.
