Air France-KLM: measures to strengthen capital
(CercleFinance.com) - Air France-KLM has announced capital strengthening measures for Air France, approved by the European Commission in its decision to authorise a four billion euro operation by the French State to recapitalise Air France and its holding company.
This would involve a capital increase of up to 1 billion euros, with a priority subscription period for shareholders, and the conversion of the French State's direct loan of 3 billion euros, drawn down into a hybrid perpetual bond instrument.
The Dutch state is continuing discussions with Brussels on possible measures for KLM. Other measures to strengthen the group's capital are currently being considered, some of which are expected to be taken before its 2022 AGM.
