Air France-KLM: project to 'adapt' domestic network

(CercleFinance.com) - Air France announces that it presented a project to adapt its domestic network to the Central Social and Economic Committee (CSEC), in which it plans to reduce its offer by 15% on short-haul flights in terms of seat kilometres offered (SKO) by the end of 2021.

Highlighting increased competition from the TGV and the rapid development of low-cost airlines, the airline is facing an increasingly difficult financial situation for its domestic business, which since 2013 has made a cumulative loss of 717 million euros.

Therefore, staff representatives have been informed of a draft voluntary redundancy plan that could result in up to 465 jobs on its domestic network, which would be implemented over a period of more than one year. It will soon be the subject of a consultation.
