Kone: wins luxury tower order in Kuala Lumpur
(CercleFinance.com) - Finnish lift maker Kone said on Tuesday that it has won an order for elevators and escalators for two luxury towers to be built in the city center of Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
The group will equip the project with 36 high-rise elevators, five machine room-less elevators, a 4,000 kg glass elevator as well as 20 escalators, of which some will travel at a speed of 7 metres per second.
The two 57-storey and 62-storey residence blocks are to be complemented by a 68-storey five-star hotel, and lifestyle retail quarters.
The project is expected to be completed in 2021.
