Nokia: China Mobile selects Nuage for its public cloud
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia announced on Tuesday that its subsidiary, Nuage, has been selected by China Mobile to deploy the public cloud offering that is being developed by China's largest telecom operator.
The Finnish telecoms company said that China Mobile has chosen Nuage's virtualised network service to automate its customers' private cloud computing centres.
Nokia - which has been working with China Mobile on cloud-related issues since 2015 - says its SDN solutions will provide a high level of security, including the provision of a firewall as a service.
The financial terms of the deal were not specified.
Shortly after 11 am, Nokia's shares were up 0.2% on Euronext Paris: note that they have risen by over 10% YTD.
