Nokia: contract in IoT in Australia
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia has announced that the Australian telecom operator Optus has selected its Internet of Things (IoT) Impact platform to provide device management and data collection capabilities to its customers.
"Both companies have agreed on a joint go-to-market strategy to bring IoT solutions to Optus customers across multiple industry segments in Australia," says the Finnish telecom compoent maker said.
The IoT solutions would be aimed at sectors such as mining, utilities and transport. According to Nokia, the IoT market in Australia is expected to grow to 25 billion USD by 2024.
