Nokia: new CEO takes office in August
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia has said that Pekka Lundmark will take up his position as chairman and CEO on 1 August, one month ahead of the initially communicated schedule.
This early arrival due to Fortum's appointment of a new CEO on 1 July, giving Pekka Lundmark the opportunity to take over the helm of Nokia earlier than expected, after a one-month transition period.
Rajeev Suri will therefore leave the position of CEO of the telecom equipment manufacturer on 31 July. He will then continue to serve the Finnish group as advisor to the Nokia board until 1 January 2021.
