Nokia: partners with Marvell on 5G processors
(CercleFinance.com) - Finnish telecoms equipment maker Nokia is working with Californian chipmaker Marvell to develop custom silicon and infrastructure processors for 5G solutions, the companies announced on Wednesday.
Nokia and Marvell are developing new custom system-on-chip (SoC) and infrastructure processors, which combine Nokia's wireless technology with Marvell's processor platforms, they said.
The new chipsets - which are supposed to cut size and power consumption, while also boosting capacity and performance - are designed to be deployed in several components of Nokia's radio access portfolio.
