Nokia: signs new 5G deal with Saudi telecom operator
(CercleFinance.com) - Finnish telecoms gear maker Nokia has said that it has signed a new deal with the Saudi Arabian telecom operator Etihad Etisalat (Mobily), covering the provision of next-generation technologies.
Under the terms of the deal, Nokia will support Mobily's infrastructure with 5G products and services, including radio access, IP routing, optical networking, in order to build an ultra-high bandwidth network.
The low-latency network will enable Mobily to offer its customers services such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI), Nokia said.
The deal is part of "Saudi Vision 2030," a program aimed at driving the country's digital transformation, while supporting the digital economy.
