Nokia: signs deal for sports data intelligence engine
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia said Dutch managed service provider SDNbucks has signed up for its Nuage Networks cloud unit to provide connectivity for SciSports, a professional sports data intelligence company.
The SD-WAN 2.0 solution will interconnect sports stadiums, research and data centers, and a cloud-based application engine hosted on Google, the Finnish telecoms gear maker said.
SciSports focuses on using advanced deep learning and computer vision technologies to improve professional sports and enrich the fan experience. Its real-time sports data intelligence engine, BallJames, gathers, analyses and presents on-the-pitch data.
