(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia is extending its private wireless network portfolio to support the digital transformation of industries and businesses, in a move towards what the group defines as "the fourth industrial revolution.

The Finnish network equipment maker will offer new small cells, Wi-Fi connectivity, and multi-access capabilities to enable businesses to manage and operate their own private wireless networks.
Nokia will also set up a developer portal that will provide secure access to products using application programming interfaces (APIs) so third-party developers can build and test the interoperability of solutions with Nokia products.
The company says it wants to prepare for 5G automation in the future.
