Nokia: to supply LTE network in Shanghai.
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia is to supply a LTE network to the Shanghai Oriental Pearl Group, a China-based diversified broadcasting, media, manufacturing and real estate company.
The telecom equipment maker said that the network's deployment in the 700 megahertz spectrum band, will transform Shanghai's former industrial district of Hongkou through a range of new smart city services.
Nokia will supply advanced wireless communications based on FDD-LTE technology that will offer the data capacity needed to support bandwidth-intensive video formats, such has 4K and 3D ultra-high definitions.
