Siemens Gamesa: to supply turbines for project in Vietnam
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa has won a contract to supply 25 wind turbines for one of the largest wind farms in Vietnam, the engineering group said on Thursday.
With a total capacity of 113 MW, the Hoa Thang 1.2 wind farm on the South-Central coast of Vietnam will generate enough electricity to meet the demands of over 240,000 Vietnamese following its delivery in 2021.
The deal marks the largest order in the country for the Spanish-based company, which has also secured a long-term 10-year service contract.
