Siemens Gamesa: secures additional 'green' funding
(CercleFinance.com) - Wind turbine maker Siemens Gamesa said on Thursday that it has secured a 350 million euro line of green funding to finance its business.
In a deal arranged with BNP Paribas, the company converted a 240 million euro guarantee line into a "green" line, and signed an additional line for 110 million euros, it said.
This round of funding comes in addition to the 900 million euros in guarantees arranged with other banks, the Spanish-based manufacturer said.
Siemens Gamesa plans to use this line to fund its business of manufacturing and selling onshore and offshore wind turbines worldwide, with a positive impact on its sustainable development goals (SDG).
