Siemens Gamesa: wins big wind order in the US
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa said it has been selected for the replacement of the blades, hubs and nacelles of the turbines of a large wind power project in the US.
The Spanish-based company will supply and install 163 wind turbines, as well as 18 previously sold turbines, to repower the Rolling Hills wind project in Iowa, with an option for 12 additional wind turbines.
The 429.3 MW-deal is the largest repowering order to date in North America, the company said.
