Siemens Gamesa: wins its largest deal in Brazil
(CercleFinance.com) - Iberdrola has picked Siemens Gamesa to provide 136 turbines for a wind farm development in north-eastern Brazil, the Spain-based company said on Wednesday.
Siemens Gamesa will deliver a total of 471 MW to the Santa Luzia complex, which includes 15 wind farm developments belonging to Neoenergia, Iberdrola's Brazilian subsidiary, the firm said.
This is the largest ever contract signed in Brazil, it added.
The turbines will be made at Siemens Gamesa's factory in Camaçari.
