Santander: plans to increase payout ratio to 40%-50%
(CercleFinance.com) - Santander plans to increase its dividend payout ratio to shareholders to align with its European peers, the Spanish bank said prior to its upcoming AGM.
The board intends to set a medium-term pay-out ratio of 40%-50%, from the current pay-out ratio of 30%-40%, Santander said in the regulatory filing.
Santander's next ordinary general shareholders' meeting will be held in Santander, Spain, on 11 April.
