Popular: announces 300 million dollar bond to redeem notes
(CercleFinance.com) - Spanish banking giant Popular has announced issuing a 300 million dollar high-yield bond to help refinance senior notes maturing next year.
The bond will be used, alongside a cash injection, to redeem 450 million dollars of 7% notes due in July 2019, Popular said.
The new bond will bear an interest rate of 6.125% per year, payable on 14 March and 14 September each year, as from 14 March 2019, maturing on 14 September 2023.
