Zealand Pharma: to leverage AI platform to develop new drugs
(CercleFinance.com) - Zealand Pharma said on Wednesday that it will leverage the platform of Intomics, a specialist of bioinformatics, as the Danish biotech firm increasingly uses artificial intelligence to develop new drugs.
The two-year research deal will enable Zealand Pharma to use big data and machine learning in the discovery of next generation peptide therapeutics, the company said.
Zealand Pharma focuses on next generation peptide-based medicines for metabolic and gastrointestinal diseases. At this stage, more than 10 of its candidate drugs have advanced into clinical development.
