Zealand Pharma: to work with Alexion on peptide therapies
(CercleFinance.com) - Danish biotech company Zealand Pharma said that it has signed a deal with US drugmaker Alexion to develop its peptide therapies.
The agreement provides Alexion with exclusive worldwide licenses for one pre-clinical target, with the option of up to three additional targets, Zealand said.
Under the terms of the deal, the Danish firm will receive upfront payment of 25 million dollars, along with an equity investment of 15 million dollars, with a potential for additional milestone-dependent and royalty payments.
