Osram: buys German electronic component maker BAG
(CercleFinance.com) - German lighting group Osram, which is seeking to strengthen its electronic components business, has agreed to buy German LED modules and software maker BAG, although did not reveal the terms of the deal.
The company, based in Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia, was previously part of the Trilux Group, Osram said.
A strategic five-year supply contract that includes a minimum sales volume has been agreed, with Osram supplying Trilux with components for use in its lights, it added.
BAG generated revenues of around 50 million euros in 2017, with 380 employees.
