E.ON: robust results, markets recovered faster than expected

(CercleFinance.com) - German utility group E.
ON on Wednesday unveiled "robust" nine-month results, saying that its markets have recovered faster than anticipated.

The company also confirmed its medium-term outlook and dividend guidance, adding that current selective lockdowns will not impact its full-year guidance.

E.ON said its nine-month adjusted EBIT fell 10% to 2.7 billion euros from 3 billion euros a year ago, with adjusted net income falling to 1.1 billion euros from 1.3 billion euros the previous year.

The Essen-based group said that the decline is predominantly due to the adverse impact of the Covid-19-pandemic and unseasonably warm weather at the start of the year.

In view of these results, E.ON confirmed its full-year outlook, expecting full-year adjusted EBIT of 3.6-3.8 billion euros, with adjusted net income of 1.5-1.7 billion euros.
