E.ON: develops new intelligent building management system

ON has said that it has developed a system that can help retailers reduce energy consumption by up to 35% - particularly in shopping centres.
The concept is to be implemented for the first time in Germany at a pilot store at a supermarket that is open to the public near Dusseldorf by the end of October, the utility giant said.
E.ON's smart building management system can control the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting and cooling systems.
Additional parameters, such as the external temperature, the output of the photovoltaic system installed on the roof or a change in the interior temperature, are also included, the group said.
