E.ON: chosen as energy partner by European physics centre

ON has been chosen as an energy partner by the European Spallation Source (ESS), a neutron beam source facility being built in Lund (Sweden), the company said on Monday.
This "major order" includes energy solutions such as cooling, compressed air and the recovery of surplus energy as well as the supply of renewable energy to the large-scale research facility, E.ON said.
The partnership is planned to last throughout the planned ESS lifespan, i.e. until 2065.
The ESS project is a European research consortium aiming at operating the world's most powerful neutron source, enabling scientific breakthroughs in materials, energy, health and the environment.
