Bayer: FDA approves drug for follicular lymphoma.
(CercleFinance.com) - US health regulators have given the nod to a drug from Germany's Bayer which helps patients with relapsed follicular lymphoma.
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Bayer's copanlisib for injection in the treatment of adult patients with relapsed follicular lymphoma who have received at least two prior systemic therapies.
The FDA granted approval under the accelerated approval pathway based on positive data from a phase II trial.
Copanlisib will be available in the US immediately.
