BASF: sells its pigments business to Japan's DIC

(CercleFinance.com) - German chemicals group BASF said that it has reached an agreement to sell its global pigments business to Japan's DIC for 1.
15 billion euros.

BASF's pigments business has around 2,600 employees and generated sales of approximately 1 billion euros in 2018.

By comparison, Tokyo-based DIC has about 20,000 employees globally and generated sales of approximately 6.8 billion euros last year.

The transaction is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2020.
