Allianz: renewable energy initiative in real estate
(CercleFinance.com) - Allianz Real Estate has announced the launch of a sustainable development initiative with the operating cost optimizer Westbridge Advisory, offering its tenants electricity generated from renewable sources.
Allianz's real estate asset manager said that this project concerns the purchase of electricity for both the common sections of office buildings managed by Allianz Real Estate in Germany and for the electricity pool for tenants.
Thus, the entire energy needs of the group's real estate portfolio - lifts, outdoor lighting, etc. - is now 100%-covered by renewable energy. In all, over 60,000 tonnes of CO2 are saved each year.
