Volkswagen: sales drop again in October
(CercleFinance.com) - Volkswagen said on Friday that its global sales fell again in October, after a rebound of over 3% in September, in the wake of the restrictions taken to battle COVID-19 in both Europe and the US.
Sales fell by 4.9% to 903,200 vehicles over the past month, while year-to-date sales dropped by 17.3% to 7.4 million cars, the German auto giant said in a statement.
In Western Europe Volkswagen's monthly sales were down 6.4% year-on-year, at 280,500 units. In North America they fell by 9.8% at 72,500 vehicles, while in China - VW's single biggest market - they were down 3.3%.
