thyssenkrupp: Brussels approves of sale of lift business
(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday the European Commission approved the acquisition of the lift branch of thyssenkrupp by the investment funds Advent and Cinven.
The Commission concluded that the proposed transaction would not raise competition concerns as Advent has neither the ability nor the incentive to restrict competitors' access to essential components and/or a sufficient customer base in the market for escalator repair and maintenance services.
