Ceconomy: projects with Fnac Darty 'suspended'
(CercleFinance.com) - According to several press sources, including the German financial daily Börsen Zeitung, Media-Saturn, one of the brands of the German retail giant Ceconomy (resulting from Metro's demerger), has halted its projects with its French counterpart, Fnac Darty.
We pressed the 'pause' button, a company spokesperson said, added Börsen Zeitung. The planned alliance mainly focused on pooling both companies' purchases.
Note that Ceconomy, whose last financial results were disappointing, is also the largest shareholder of Fnac Darty, with nearly a quarter of its capital.
