Siemens: sales up 14% to E19.4bn
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens today reported Q2 results.
Sales and orders each rose 15% on a comparable basis, while profit from the its business rose by 47% to E2.6bn, with a profit margin of 14.2%.
Net profit increased to E3.6bn, also benefiting from the reversal of an impairment of Siemens' stake in Siemens Energy AG, which resulted in a tax-free gain of E1.6bn.
Basic EPS was E4.39 and EPS before purchase price allocation (EPS before PPA) was E4.57.
Following its H1 numbers, Siemens has raised its outlook for the fiscal year, now expecting comparable sales growth, net of currency and portfolio effects, of 9% to 11% (previously 7% to 10%).
