Siemens: teams up with Exyte on biotech facilities
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens is teaming up with German factory builder Exyte to offer "fast track" modules to biotechnology manufacturers, as well as cell and gene therapy manufacturers.
The move is intended to help pharmaceutical companies that face challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic, by developing and mass-producing new vaccines and drugs capacity at their existing production facilities, the companies said in a statement on Tuesday.
Under the terms of the deal, Siemens will provide its solutions for "smart" process automation and digitalisation, while Exyte will bring its modular technology for rapid construction.
