Siemens: partners with FIA on rally spectator safety
(CercleFinance.com) - The German industrial conglomerate Siemens said it has started a project which is aimed at improving the safety of spectators at rally events.
The project with the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) will explore how Siemens' technologies - such as intelligent traffic systems and PLM software - can be used in potentially dangerous locations.
The FIA administers the regulations for all international four-wheel sport, including the FIA Formula One World Championship and FIA World Rally Championship.
