Siemens: ranks second for European patent filings in 2017
(CercleFinance.com) - German industrial giant Siemens has been the second largest applicant of European patent applications in 2017, the company said on Wednesday.
According to numbers released today by the European Patent Organisation (EPO), Siemens filed patent applications for 2,220 inventions last year, while Chinese company Huawei ranked number one for the first time, with 2,398 filings.
With 2,056 applications, South Korea's LG ranked third.
