Siemens: to repower two wind farms in Texas.
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) has been selected to repower two wind farms in Texas.
The new facilities will deliver up to 25% more energy p.a., boosting reliability and efficiency, while extending the operational lifespan.
The current Siemens SWT-2.3-93 model turbines that are fitted will be upgraded to the SWT-2.3-108 model by the end of 2017. The wind farms will remain operational throughout the upgrade.
Harnessing expertise in both turbine technology, operation and maintenance services, SGRE has developed a comprehensive and customizable repowering program, which offers solutions in all stages of a repowering project, from initial guidance to final service and operation, meanwhile improving performance and increasing energy production.
