Daimler: develops electric ambulance model
(CercleFinance.com) - Mercedes-Benz Vans and its partner "Ambulanz Mobile GmbH & Co.
KG" from Schönebeck in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, have developed a fully electric ambulance based on eSprinter vans.
In mid-March, this vehicle was delivered to its first customer in Bindow near Königs Wusterhausen. The van went into operational testing at the Christian humanitarian organisation "Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe".
The vehicle, which has a range of 120 km and can reach speeds of up to 120 km/h, has two independent boxes that allow the medical devices to operate independently of the vehicle's battery.
