Daimler: confirms forecasts for 2019 at AGM
(CercleFinance.com) - German auto giant Daimler on Wednesday confirmed its forecasts for the year 2019 at the annual shareholders' meeting in Berlin.
For the current year, Daimler said it still expects to slightly increase its unit sales, while anticipating another slip in revenue.
In a market environment that remains "volatile," the company expects its operating profit (EBIT) to continue to rise slightly over the year, it said.
However, Daimler also said that its start to 2019 has been "moderate."
At the meeting, Dieter Zetsche, who has been board chairman for many years now, will hand over to his successor, Ola Källenius.
