Puma: launches first-ever smartwatch
(CercleFinance.com) - German sportswear group Puma is entering the smartwatch market with a wearable that has been designed to help athletes track goals when they work out.
The company said it has collaborated with US watch maker Fossil, using the high performance and low power characteristics of Qualcomm's next generation smartwatch platform.
Equipped with Google Fit, the smartwatch can track activities like pilates, rowing, or spinning, and count reps from strength training workouts such as pushups. It can also track heart rate.
Available in three colors, the smartwatch will be available for 275 dollars in November.
